One of the benefits of a great halloween is the large bowl of candy that is left on my counter. I try not to be too strict with the candy. I won't let them have it for breakfast or anything. In general my kids are not big candy eaters. The older boys insist they dislike carmel, nuts, and unusual textures. So outside of crunch bars, peanut butter cups, and hershey bars there is a lot of good stuff for me to enjoy. Cori however has inherited my love for almound joys, three musketeers, and snickers.
One thing everyone in our family loves is suckers and lollipops. When given the choice my kids will pick a lollipop everytime. The kids have defined the difference quite simply. A lollipop is flat no matter the size and a sucker is usually round but also comes in shapes sometimes. The suckers and lollipops are always the first to disappear from any stash of assorted candy.

I would vote for suckers, because sometimes they have something: sweet, sour, gooey, or crunchy inside. Does that take care of my voting for the day?
