Sam's visitors

In preschool and kindergarten the schools have a fun activity to encourage reading. Each child gets a chance to bring a backpack home with a stack of books, the stuffed animal character, and a notebook to chart the characters travels. We have had Sparky the Dog, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Sam I Am (twice), and now this week our family had the priveledge of entertaing Arthur and DW. The kids loved having them visit. Sam slept with them every night and with every nap that he took. Arthur watched the boys play the Wii, and DW played with a little girl that we babysat for a couple of afternoons this week. They both came with to dance class, but had to watch the telethon at home. They even enjoyed a snowday on Tuesday when school was canceled. They had to wait inside while the kids played outside, and Nathan even built two snowmen all by himself. We were able to read lots of Arthur books, and take turns pushing a button that made DW sing. It was a fun week and Sam was so excited to bring them back to school to tell the others of the adventures he had shared with Arthur and DW.
